The fall 2012 freshmen students arrived in Costa Rica on August 29th and participated in the “Ingathering,” or orientation. On Saturday, September 1st we went to Barrio Jesús, a pretty town in Heredia, to participate in community service activities. After a morning of hard work, we treated the students to a surprise “cimarrona,” a musical group that plays music during popular festivities in Costa Rica. They were joined by a “mascarada,” or people wearing masks. It was a great way to introduce our students to Costa Rican culture.

Love my school. <3
